The Greater Moncton International Airport (GMIA) advises travellers to review their travel plans before heading to the airport during the busy charter season. Commencing Thursday, February 25 through to May 14, additional charters will operate to sunspot destinations. The influx of passengers, especially on Fridays, will bring increased traffic in and around the airport.

Continental Airlines to Offer 2nd Daily Flight to New York for the Holiday Season

Continental Airlines (NYSE: CAL) today announced that it will operate a second daily flight from the Greater Moncton International Airport (GMIA) to its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport during the upcoming holiday season. From December 10 through January 4, the new flight will depart the Greater Moncton International Airport at 8:30 am with a return flight arriving in Moncton at 8:23 pm. This new flight will be offered in addition to the daily departure at 6:00 am with a return to Moncton at 9:57 pm.

Continued Growth Prompts Expansion Project at Greater Moncton International Airport

Starting today, passengers visiting the Greater Moncton International Airport (GMIA) will see some construction activity in the terminal building. The pre-board security screening area will be expanded to accommodate one extra screening line bringing the total available checkpoints to three. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.
